Everything this man did contributed to the situation.

Exactly. The only thing they could have done where he would still be alive today was not respond to the 911 call.

And the thing I don't get is that those who are making the most noise about this doesn't represent "the majority of their community". In fact, I am sure if you ask a lot of people in the community people like Gary & Silky Slim consider "theirs", they probably think the same thing as everyone else. They are just using this situation for their own good.

When people were protesting after AS was shot, it was probably what? Less than 100 people. In other words, a handful of people. It wasn't until people were bussed in from all around the US to protest.. A friend of mine delivers to a gas station around there and he was talking to a guy who works there and the weekend after the protest he told my friend "man we could see them protesting from the front of my house.. So we decided to barbecue and sit out there and laugh at them" so in reality, it is a handful of people who make all the noise that is a factor in this mayor's decision.

If she supported the two police officers, by the time re-election comes around, she would gain more support than she would lose.

It's really hard to say unless we have all the internal policies and procedures. There could be, and I hope there are guidelines or procedures that they were all trained on what to do if "X" fails, such as tasing someone. I'm sure they can't account for every possible situation in their procedures, and sometimes LEO's have to just act on good faith in determining the best thing to do.

All that and the BLM movement still opts to use him as their poster child instead of maybe the McKinley HS honor student. So it really isn’t that BLM, otherwise they would worry about the hundreds being killed in the ‘hood by their own, and less about a freaking career thug that couldn’t/wouldn’t obey the law.

the pop ups on the advocate website are fricking terrible.

They damn near make the site unreadable. I get that stupid pop up about the text alerts every 15 seconds even though I click ‘no thanks’ 100 times. More than have the time the words aren’t under the article and I have to leave the article and come back, which leads to the text alerts pop up again. I hate their fricking mobile site.

This is just a formality. I believe everyone knows what will happen. Blane Salamoni will be fired because that’s what SWB wants. The real question though is will Howie Lake also be fired. Blane Salamoni will then sue the city and SWB for millions of dollars because he was fired unjustly. He will win his suit and the city will be on the hook for the settlement. I can’t wait to see the Culcha’s reaction when Salamoni is awarded his millions in the settlement. All of this is because SWB has been running her mouth about things she knows nothing about and has backed herself into a corner to make the Culcha happy. It will be enjoyable to watch all this unfold.

Isn’t this what drove the Boston police officers to take a much more “hands-off” approach leading to rocketing murder rates?

BRPD's policy is wrote so grey that they can find you guilty of breaking it so very easily. Nothing in black and white.

There would be precedent for any perceived transgression the officers committed. If it is against policy to say frick, what were past officers that said frick punished with? If they were given a day off, without pay, and either one of these guys if fired for the same thing, it will be bad.

Their attorneys are probably passively shopping for the new camp right now.

While I agree with all of this, Alton's family (who didn't give a frick about him until they say a paycheck coming their way) will sue Salamoni. It will be interesting to see what happens with that but if I had to bet, Blane will have to pay some amount to the family. I hope he also countersues the AS family and in the end they don't get a fricking dime. Hell the family already got upwards of $800k from GoFundMe. That is about $795k more than that POS would of even helped his "family" with.

I just hope the riots after the announcement don’t spread to Biloxi. I’m here on a trip and there are already enough potential issues here. I certainly won’t be going near the Hard Rock parking garage.

I agree with you. What’s really sad is all those attorneys representing AS family is only in it for money and fame. When all this is over they don’t give a rats arse what happens to that family and as usual the family has no clue. They really think the attorneys really give a crap about them

That would be optimal. Instead they're gonna make him fight for his job if he's fired so they can play games. They'll pay Sterling's family millions but they won't pay an officer who did nothing wrong 1/2 - 1 mil to just walk away. Other cities do it no sure why they won't on this one.

It ain't her money so she don't GAF about wasting it.

Just like those attorneys, Blane and Howie's attorneys are salivating at the upcoming lawsuits to BR, BRPD, Chief Paul, Broome Stick and the AS family.

They aren't going to get that specific, at least not today. It won't surprise me if they are as vague as possible and just say that one or both did not follow proper de-escalation protocol, which lead to their firing. In the end, it will probably come down to that one sentence that Salamoni said that featured the F word that lead to his firing. There's been so many different versions, such as "I will f'ing kill you, bitch" to "I will f'ing shoot you in the head", that who knows the truth? Maybe there is more to it...I guess we will find out soon once those bodycam videos are released.
