So you googled and looked at the first result that popped up?

Why didn't you mention loggers or flight engineers?

If you're talking generally...I think they deserve private healthcare, pension, access to other benefits, etc.

If you're talking about acting like the Logistics Officer preserved the Union singlehandedly, then I would agree.

Veterans have my appreciation but in my limited experience the biggest chest thumpers are usually the ones that were rarely deployed or at risk.

Most combat types I know want very little special treatment or public appreciation.

I cant speak for all Veterans but I personally don't give 2 shits what anyone who never served thinks. Actually I don't give 2 shits what anyone thinks. We all have our reasons for doing what we did and I don't need or desire anyone's approval. Carry on!

Not special treatment, just treatment they deserve.

The very reason the heroism and shite is annoyingly overplayed is to cover for the fact that the government will never actually do anything to take care of the people it used to accomplish whatever its goals were at the time.

It's pure propaganda to cover for lack of actually giving a shite.

So, you took an oath at your current job? Oh no hmm. You committed to 4-6 years when you took said job? NO>? Oh.

You swore to protect ungrateful people like yourself against enemies domestic or foreign? NO??

Tell me you don’t know the difference without telling me. TO ALL of you “its a job” crowd: You can’t just walk away from it like your job at Home Depot. Nice try

IDK about the Nancies now but the “treatment” is very very little compared to the commitment. I don’t need a “veterans” discount but it’s nice to hear.

Respect it that’s all. Go smoke some weed and play PlayStation but respect it.

Right! And it all went to bars in Tijuana! I got a free lunch from Olive Garden last year. I think it's the only time I've used my "Veteran" status for anything and it was because I happened to be traveling through Memphis.

Was in the military, very thankful for it. Have a really good job because of it and it is completely overblown.

I know so many vets collecting disability, not because of an actually injury from combat but because they are fat and gross. They take advantage of the system.

How about you read Article 1, Section 8, Clauses 11-16 of the US Constitution. How about you actually understand history and how we have successfully and unsuccessfully fought wars as a Nation. How about you understand that I might know just a little bit more about this subject than you do.
