I see them all but I get your point. So let’s say this, there is a very large welfare class in this country that we have given 100% of everything to them at the expense of the middle class taxpayers. Healthcare, housing, food, money and whatever other material things they decide they want. By and large this group is made up of black and white American citizens.

There is a reason Eddie Rispone hired legal immigrants. It’s because he could not find the people here that wanted to work or were willing to learn. Nobody mentions that.

I have tried over the years to provide employment to some of this class. I have loaned money, tried to figure out how one could work one day a week, listened to sob stories of dead grandmothers, broken down cars and the need for crack, given paychecks early, provided bail money and the list goes on and on.

I decided I was not in business for them. I write very large checks to city, state and the federal government for taxes. I was not giving anymore than I had too. So I concentrated on hiring and paying well, legal immigrants and my life and my business changed.

America needs to worry about cleaning up its welfare state before it needs to build a wall. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating open borders. I’m aware we need controlled immigration but we need immigration to keep this country moving forward.

You don’t see a lot of Mexicans living under the interstate in New Orleans.

I’ve worked on projects in which they hired people to work out in the field (construction sites not an actual field) and the cost from worker’s compensation, the amount of mindless “safety events”, the lack of dependability, etc can be insane.

On one project, it got so out of hand (a guy was hired, received company truck, cell phone lap top. Worked two days then just stopped showing up. Long story short they had to track him down, get the police involved & broke laptop & phone. He ended up getting arrested). He was a white guy if that matters. It got to the point where they just said “frick it”. On a Friday they let everyone in the field go. On Monday they brought in a bunch of Mexican workers, paid them the same, so it wasn’t cheap labor, but all of the bullshite stopped.

And they didnt have to stop every 15 mins to smoke. And they were told what their job was and they did it. And if they got rained out they would clean the warehouse without even being asked to do so.. There are just some Americans who are always trying to get something for nothing.
