Power lift gates, automatic headlights, and modern infotainment systems are not things that typically break on any vehicle.

Seems like they are trying to keep costs down.
We have an old Highlander limited ('08) and it has power liftgate, auto headlights, etc. The info interface is shite however and the screen for the display and backup cam is literally about 4x4 inches, cant see shite.

Was coming here to say they do have this...in every other country but the US...Land Cruiser Prado, otherwise known as the Lexus GX 460. Globally you can get them with 2 fuel tanks and a diesel...one can only wish it happened here.

Highlander has been built on the Camry frame. Unibody construction that will be built on the new TGA line in Kentucky going forward (Toyota Global Architecture) along with Camry/Avalon/ES350.

The Highlander does not remotely resemble a Toyota truck.

Consumer reports ranked Durango as the Best Large SUV. They ranked Sequioa as the WORST

I test drove a Durango and liked it more than any other suv I tested (explorer, Acadia, yukon, Tahoe). It had almost any convenience and modern feature anyone needs. I didn’t even bother with the sequoia because the reviews were so poor. The Lexus gx gets the same shitty reviews. I’m not sure why everyone here loves them so much.

What's funny is Toyota puts auto liftgates in their lower model SUVs, no reason it can't go in the 4Runner. At least make it an option, as I can see why someone getting a TRD Pro may not want one. Either way, the auto start feature they offer is garbage. And the Land Cruiser is still my all-timer, but man they are getting blown out of the water by Land Rover in terms of interior styling.

Good call. They are in the same sub-genre I'd say.

People have been begging for the Prado for years, I don't ever expect it to happen.

What is wrong with the Durango? Aggressive styling, all-wheel drive, powerful engine, great interior.

Of course, I don't know anything about their dependability. I hear mostly bad things.

I’ve never driven the Sequioa but they look fine to me. Strong V8. Probably does anything a soccer mom needs it to do, and will pull any boat too.

Believe it or not, I see A LOT of brand new Land Cruisers around here, all driven by moms.

I believe it. All these vehicles are made for women who really just need a minivan.
