Is the Toyota Sequoia the most disappointing SUV in production?

Toyota has great niche markets in the smaller body-on-frame SUV in the 4Runner and the larger luxury/capability combo of the Land Cruiser. You would think they would seek to fill the gap between the two, something they could use to compete with the Tahoe/Yukon, that provided 4Runner capability with the interior finishings of the Land Cruiser.
Instead, they offer a big bloated... minivan, but with four doors. They should be able to have an intermediate offering between the $40k 4Runner and the $88k Land Cruiser that provided similar driver experiences.

All it is is a Tundra. What exactly is the problem?

4Runner is body on frame.

Neither of those two are unibody, both are BOF.

Has nothing in common with the 4Runner and Land Cruiser. Highlander is for the mom crowd (nothing wrong with that).
If they would have changed the Sequoia when they refreshed the Tundra it would have helped. But, Toyota realizes that they sell like 6 a year and just don't care I guess.

We have a Sienna. And I've driven some friends Sequoia. They are not the same.

I owned an 04 Sequoia Limited
It was great but I hated the gas bill.
I do not like the look of the latest model
