Seems like we always get a heavy swarm around mothers day. What are you doing in preparation for the impending swarm?

Has been hitting the northshore the last few nights. I try keeping the lights off and let them head over to a neighbor's house that is all lit up. They only seem to swarm for an hour after it gets dark.

As long as your house is treated and under contract, you're good.

So ready for it to be over. Just walked the dogs and the streets are literally crawling with them. Opened the door for a second for us to get back in and it seems like 20 came in with us

Had a massive swarm a couple of weeks ago at the MSY airport when we had nearly four inches of rain in 24 hours. The Termites like low velocity winds and a moist environment. I believe late Spring and Summer are peak times for termites.

are these common in BR? I've lived here for almost 6 years and haven't seen one. I remember them in Mobile. They were awful

I lived in BR for about 7-8 years and I really don't ever remember having problems. Now I've lived close to the lake in Mandeville for the last 2 years and both springs my area has been swimming in the things... Definitely seems more prevalent in certain spots. Probably more humidity over here that they thrive in

The bastards are here. My office lamp has attracted them to the window.

This is the first year I've really noticed them. They've been swarming at various tennis courts in town for a couple weeks. So thick around the lights that it looks like it's raining.
