Is the Subaru Outback the best choice in its class of vehicle?

I'm really thinking about buying one.
I don't care about looks and class. I just want something in that crossover sphere that is reliable and that I can drive for 10+ years.

Yea but I feel like you don't get your money's worth unless you live near the mountains and where it snows

If you are a lesbian, the answer is yes.

I bought a new 2016 this year. Had to design one off the assembly line because they have a shortage of them. I'm quite impressed with it. Great handles, awesome in bad weather, great road clearance (higher than a lot of trucks), etc.
It's an incredible car. Get the 3.6 and the upgraded interior.
I traded in a 12 year old 4Runner for it, which was also a great car.
ETA:
Definitely a lesbo car in the south but idgaf. It snowed like 10" in a day the week after I got mine in Nashville and it dominated in it.
Also it literally drives itself on cruise control. Speeds up and slows down to match car in front of you and keeps wheel straight inside the lane. My interior is really nice too. Black car, tan leather interior, wood accents, etc.

That and the Mazda seem to get the highest reviews.

My wife had one when we had just one child. She loved it. Once the family expanded we had to get rid of it because the inside was cramped. I'm about 6'3, so I had some problems being cramped in it. Other then that, it was a great vehicle. The only disclaimer is we bought ours 2008 and I have no idea what changes the vehicle has gone through.

Arguably the best car out there. Enjoy. Miss mine.

Pontiac Aztec. Those things bring immediate street cred and command respect from the plebs

Yeah, I never thought that I'd consider a Mazda, but based on the high marks I was going to check it out as well.
And I also dgaf if the Outback is a lesbo car.

I think Salmon has one of these. He may be able to give you some perspective. I may be wrong though.

Bought the wife a new Mazda CX-5 recently as well (we had a huge trade in value from a wreck).
It doesn't get the highest reviews of the mazdas but it's a great car too. I really enjoy driving it.
Smaller though.

About two years ago the Mazda was having some weak crash tests and insurance companies took notice. Make sure they have remedied that before buying.

My uncle had to order one also. I think it's not all that good, but he loves it

Exactly how I would've spec'd it out.
As far as "lesbo car" or whatever, I drive what I want.
