Tanks seem to be similar when filled show around 400 miles to the tank. All I know is with my escape it was always right on that mark no matter how I drove and the Crosstrek gets around 460 miles so far.

Crosstrek holds about a gallon more gas. So it appears you're still getting a little better MPG, but not as much as you think.

Subarus are incredible cars.

The OT has a warped view of what a good car is. If you are a guy and dont drive a truck you are a fgt. Dumb trash mindset.

Not really sure where you got any of that out of my posts, but OK. Seems like really insecure people like Subarus. Yall are constantly talking about how great your cars are and no one else gets it. Congrats I guess.

Outback is neither a sedan nor Korean.

Subaru owners are usually extremely secure, not class conscious and aren't trying to impress anyone.

It's a functional vehicle, not meant to impress your neighbor.

Look at the Forester too. Consumer Reports top-rated for the past ten years or so and it's a lot more car for the money than the Outback. The 2016 Foresters are the most refined I've ever driven of the five I've leased.

Give the Outback a generation or two....they'll be more or less where Volvo is today. I suspect their popularity and pricing are on the rise.

Subaru seems to market their vehicles in the small SUV category, they'll never be the soccer mom type of rig the Volvo or Lexus RX are.

That's like saying Hyundai would never make a $60k+ sedan. If Subaru decide the market is there, they'll go for it.

They've consistently been in the same market. Not sure why they would want that to change.

Hyundai was pretty consistent too. Times change.

I think he was commenting ironically on the general mindset around here (at least what gets expressed) -- Subarus are gay, Hyundais are cheap shite, Jeeps are well-built, etc.

Also, my Subaru was made in America FWIW. Came off the assembly line in Indiana and delivered to Nashville.

Everyone who drives it raves about it. Really is an incredible car and it will last me forever.

Warning though: Its kind of a cult. Other Subaru drivers will seriously give you the "wink and nod" at stoplights and stuff. Super weird

I've had my eye on one for a while.

They are surely the best.

The next step above them is approaching SUV/Truck territory.
