If you can't cover them while wearing a suit, then it's no bueno. Those are the rules. Deal with it.

I'm heavily tattooed and have a good job and stable life. And by heavily tattooed I mean my chest, back, both ribs, full sleeves, and left lower leg

It's a bit fair. Tattoo's are a sign of someone with self esteem issue, and generally lower intellect and critical thinking skills. Of course, if you have those issues, tattoo's are something you would gravitate to, so it's a vicious circle.

What's wrong with your right lower leg?

ETA: I'm okay with sleeves if they are done well. I feel like that is more of a piece of art than some shitty tattoo of your baby daddy's name across your forearm or something like that.

If I went to a surgeon and he had arms full of tats, I would probably ask for a new surgeon

Doesn't exist. I think you are confusing surgeon with the line worker at Burger King.

Personal opinion, or fact? If fact, do you have proof?

This is old school mentality. I have worked in the white collar world since the day I got out of the Navy but I have tatoos. They are pretty common today and you would be surprised at the number of people that have tatoos and you don't know.

I do agree that you should be able to cover them in a professional setting.

Pretty much a microcosm of what's wrong with America, wrapped up in 1 little sentence.
