what is your point with this thread?

surely you are't dull enough to believe that our economy is running at 100% with all that is going on

You're right you can't even tell the difference when 22 million people were forced out of work by a hoax.

Furthermore it goes to reason that if a majority of people are making more staying at home than they were working then they are probably spending it more freely as well. So why is the economy not booming?

Because 22 million people lost their jobs in 2 months.

I spent part of mother's day, dyeing my wife's hair (no pics) because her salon is still closed.

I don't know what point you are trying to make, but I never want to do that again.

Y'all non essentials can call me what you want but I'm making money and my family and friends are making money. I'm loving no traffic to commute to work and saving money by not dining out. All my interests are solitary type hobbies and still open so life is good. They can extend the stay at home for a little longer as far as I care.

As far as unemployment numbers go. They offer everyone $600 a week extra to sign up and you wonder why the numbers went up so drastically. It's not just job losses, it's people quarantined for a myriad of reasons, people without daycare for the kids, and people that's "Skeered to catch the coronas at work".

ETA: Sorry for your ordeal LSUHouston

the fact that over half of Americans are staying home and not doing their usual day to day activities; i.e. boosting the economy naturally.

IS that fact?
