The one on Ambassador in Lafayette is terrible, particularly in terms of restocking in a timely and consistent manner.

Good thing for them they are so cheap and convenient.

Long lines, too. Plus, half the registers are credit card only. They always have someone there directing people to the right scanners.

A lot of Walmart customers aren't smart enough for self checkout, but they believe that they are. So getting in line behind these customers can make it even worse.

I was in line checking out @ the Siegen Lane location in BR and felt as though I was about to have a panic attack. Now I only use the express checkout when I go, which is not very often.

To put a "checkout" barrier between exit and products. That said, it would be better just to have a small wall like some of the hard liquor departments have.

Yes. There are never enough lines open. I went the first week of school. It took near an hour to checkout. Only had 4-5 lanes open

Go to the wal mart in Donaldsonville. You'll delete this thread.

Worst in BR: Cortana

Baker is worst in area.

TChops is worst in LA.

Border stores in TX are worst in America.

How much does it cost to staff an extra check-out lane? Less than $10 an hour?

What's the cost of continually pissing off your customers and developing a bad reputation?

I'm sure self checkout leads to tons of theft too.

Same experiences at the Siegen, Prairieville and Burbank Walmart multiple times along with the College location. Amazing you are just noticing this. Usually takes as long to check out as it does to actually shop.

I honestly have never understood why anyone would actually go to a Walmart.

I will gladly pay extra just to stay away from the clientele that frequents Walmart

You go when you need to buy a lot of basic shite and you don't feel like paying the premium for those items.

But hitting any Walmart on a weekend is asking for trouble. I'd rather go to a Walmart on a weekday when I need something from them. frick the weekends, that's just miserable

Something that I have never understood about these stores is why do they bother building all these checkout lanes that they never intend to use, even at the most busy times. It is the same at most grocery type stores, but Wal-Mart is the worst. I don't even understand the justification of spending the money to build them.
