It is not a "good university." It is-and this is not hyperbole-the worst university in America.
That is fact.

Without a doubt one of the best schools in the nation. If I could do it all again I would go there in a heart beat.

Largely impoverished city.

You can chalk up part of the reason to weak high school results, but Black dropout rates are primarily because of money issues

I’m confident in saying that if any restaurant in the USA were as bad at being a restaurant as SUNO is at being a school, it would be shutdown by the government in hours.

We should close it and many other schools and consolidate it down to LSU, UNO, LA Tech and turn a few of the smaller colleges into “junior colleges”. We don’t have the population or the $$$$ to have a high quality university when we spread all this around to multiple, small locales for political purposes. How good a school could LA Tech be if we doubled its funding? How much better would LSU be?

Literally the worst graduation rate in the nation.
SUNO's job is to give degrees to NOLA and local state government employees. Maybe Entergy New Orleans as well.

The sad thing is that it’s so dumbed down it should basically be a degree mill, yet still only get like a 10% grad rate.

I took an online summer course through Grambling and it was a joke.
