Snow I don’t mind.
It’s the ice we usually get here instead that can frick right off.

I lived in snow for a long time. Snow is awesome until after the holidays, then you realize you have 3 more months of it... By February most people are absolutely sick of it and missing the sun. People are grumpy as frick. Also there's the season nobody mentions between winter and spring, it's called Mud Season, and can last between 4-8 weeks depending on the year.
Some years you get decent snow in March, and mixed with sunshine it's pretty nice.

Good powder is incredible. Slush sucks. Unfortunately most of the country gets slush or icy snow.
This. Utah is nice because in the valley it typically snows, then is gone. We only have consistent snow on the ground for 3-5 weeks of the year. Which isn't that bad.
Waking up to fresh powder in the morning... it is quite cool.
I just don't like the cold

going on 3 years in Colorado and snow is still a treat for me. in my nightmares im back in louisiana sweating my balls off gearing up for another christmas in t-shirt and shorts.
snows fine as long as you dont have to be somewhere. 28inches fell over a 3 day period back in march and i was snowed in for like 4 days. people treat it kinda like a hurricane cause theres a big run on grocery stores but thats rare.
more often than not the biggest inconveniences are tracking snow into the house, or driving in it.

It is hard to overrate snow when I rate it one step above dog piss flowing in my yard. Seriously, who likes to be cold and wet?

its like taking a 9 home from the bar, its something special only because of how rare it is, if you get it often its just a PITA and makes your life harder

Yes it gets old. Especially if you live in a bigger city.
Yeah, I would still get excited for big blizzards and a city freshly covered in snow is beautiful.
But fast forward several hours later when the snow is stained black from dirt and vehicles driving over it and you’re waking into the office with wet socks from some bus splashing some slush all over you after you walk several blocks on sidewalk that may or may be covered in snow or ice. And your car is dirty as hell, etc, etc
Eff it. If I want snow I’ll take a vacation somewhere snowy to have fun.
I like the snow here in Charlotte. It’s basically hardly even happens (saw none this past winter) and when it does you stay in the house till it melts.

Snow is awesome if you’re on vacation and can ski/snowboard or something of that nature. Snow is also awesome as a kid where they cancelled school and you could sled all day and have snowball fights.
As an adult snow is awful. Roads are icy and if they aren’t plowed then good luck getting anywhere. It takes an extra 30 minutes to put on layers in the morning and if you don’t have a garage then have fun shoveling off the snow that piled up on your car.
I’ve lived up north on and off for a total of probably 8-10 years. They can have all that shite.

Up to a certain amount its not.
I lived in Upstate NY for 3 years. The first two weeks of snowfall each year were fun. The remaining 12 weeks sucked arse. We’d eventually get to where the base outside our building was 4 ft deep. Every damn snowfall was between 10-18 inches. We’d get almost 200 inches of snow a year. Always had to shovel snow. Had to wear 85 layers of clothes to do anything outside. Were always freezing arse cold.
I hate 100 degrees and 100% humidity. But I’d take that any day over the Sub-Zero (I didn’t say below freezing) temps that I endured in NY.

No, there is nothing more peaceful on Earth than watching the snow fall, IMO

Here's a pic I took of some snowflakes back in February to help liven up your thread:

When I was a kid I swear we got snow at least once a year usually, and that is being from Columbia, SC. I probably am remembering wrong but it definitely seemed to snow more growing up than it has lately. Now it's like once every three years or so it seems. And typically we just get the freezing rain/ice bullshite no one wants to deal with.

We average around 80"-120" of snow (a lot of micro climates) a year at sea level, and the temps rarely get below 10 degrees. It's in the 20's and 30's most of the winter.
Its not a bad combination at all.

I pretty much totaled my 2 week old Polaris 850 switchback Saturday evening along with my collar bone and wrist. Still love snow. Hydrocodone being a close second.
