The last two water parks I visited seemingly catered to people of the low socio-economic variety.

Is Schlitterbahn like that?

No, I went three or four years ago, and it is nothing like blue bayou.

Schlitterbahn is the best waterpark I've been to, but I'm not really a fan of those places anymore.

I feel my immune system working overtime every time I leave one of those places

Schlitterbahn has consistently been one of the top-rated water parks in the world for over 20 years. Blue Bayou, not so much.

If you don't want to meet people of the low socio-economic variety, go to the opera.

That is like asking if Paris is a better food city than Des Moines.

Stayed at the treehaus villas the weekend of the LSU v Iowa game. Me,wife, three daughters, son, son in law and two grandkids. We all had a blast.

This should not even be a comparison.

You can catch AIDS in the water at BB.

That Facebook page was pretty saddening

A bunch of poor Cajun housewives asking optimistically when the park is opening, as if it actually is

My favorite comment:

Dude.. Not even close to a fair comparison. Blue bayou is actually a pretty good water park by most standards. The two are both good but different.

A water park? Are these the places where you pay through the nose to stand on a wooden staircase for 2 hours in line with a bunch of punk arse 11 year olds to go on a 13 second ride?

Sonic Shoot FTW.

I remeber I was about 11 years old tryong to carry a 40lb waterlogged platic board up those 90 steps for the 3 second ride down at 65MPH

Theres a fella in the St. Charles Community that has some pieces from a slide that he has rigged up going into Bayou Lafourche.
