Bill Maher is probably the best on tv because he is open about his politics. Still calls out Dems occasionally and also will have R political types on his show. Doesn't mean he is good tho
I occasionally watch Colbert but the "tonight" shows are redundant

Bill's snarkiness is annoying AF tho.

John Oliver occasionally has good story not in the news and is funny about 3 minutes out of every 3rd episode and it is when he isn't talking politics. Also annoying AF

Samantha Bee was okay in her cameo's on CC. I haven't watched her show but i would suspect it is bad. May have to check it out to see how bad

Trevor Noah is terrible.

Why you watching her show if it is that bad or was it your first?

All these "comedians " y'all are citing are not comedians. They are mouth pieces far the extreme left, progressive not liberal.

Today the comedians that are well respected are Andrew Shulz, Bill Burr, Joey Diaz (crazy as frick) , and of course the main liners Hart a d Chapelle. Hell I even throw Rogan in their because he seems to be the clue that's keeping these comedians working together.

IMO anyone with a "show" isn't a comedian anymore unless they are doing standup tours. Bill Maher is the only one that fits that bill I believe.

Bill Burr is awesome AF. His SNL hosting was fantastic. Pissed off liberals and conservatives. I want to see him live.

Pat Sajak is funnier than all of them.

I do wonder what Jon Stewart thinks on a day to day basis. He was a talented mother fricker and praised Trump for his treatment of 9/11 survivors saying he was the one who got shite done for them. I don’t think any of his disciples are wanting a solution to actual problems, but Jon Stewart does. He’s serious on this, and he praised Trump for his treatment of 9/11 survivors: YouTube

EDIT: Look at Kirsten Gillibrand’s face when he praised Trump for helping 9/11 victims. That’s all you need to know about her. Jon Stewart is a good man even if his disciples aren’t.

Seriously, I am not a fan of political comedy, but comedians can lean one way or the other and be funny.. That's cool. funny is funny, but this bitch is not in the least bit funny.

She's horrible. Comedy is dying in the current political climate. Political comedy takes someone with intelligence to pull off. Some of the best are Dennis Miller, Lewis Black, and John Stewart. Most of the hacks today trying to do it are just mean spirited, one sided and unfunny. I really don't get how most of them still have shows.

How does she get the ratings to stay on TV?

she doesn't get the ratings. TBS just writes her off as a financial loss in order to score some Woke Points.

they can lie about it all they want, but if she was as big of a "hit" as they say, then for one ... TBS would air her show more than once a week ... and for two ... she wouldn't be on TBS once a week.

Comedy is still alive and well you just have to search for it. Real comedy is in standup.

I can't even make it through her commercials. Can't imagine watching her whole show.

Standup is dying too. Political correctness and politics have crept into it too. Comedians who have no business doing political comedy have to get their jabs in and their usually the same bad jokes. The number of comedians still saying frick the world let it all burn are few and far between. There are more of them waking up to the fact that WOKE isn't funny though, so maybe there's hope.

Seriously, if we were attacked would Colbert, Oliver, Noah, or Bee be capable of what Stewart said after 9/11? Stewart has proven beyond all doubt maybe beyond any American what he said in the aftermath of 9/11 he truly believed and would quite frankly be killed for his beliefs on this if that’s what it took. But of his disciples... Only Larry Wilmore may be capable of it, but that’s it.

If the RNC was suicide bombed killing dozens of people, I think Trevor Noah would say they somewhat deserved it by saying controversial language. What Stewart said in the aftermath was profound, he’s proven he meant it more than really any other celebrity, and should be preserved in the Library of Congress: Comedy Central

Samantha Bee reads a monologue off a teleprompter that was pre-written by her writers. This doesn't take much talent. Comedy is only good when you can go after both sides of the political spectrum & in today's entertainment left wing bias, comedy is dead.

I’m sure it’s been said already but women cannot be funny. Anyone claiming otherwise is a liar

The only person on that list that is respected is Burr. Shulz is shite and Diaz makes up 90% of the shite he says, as do most comedian's. For some reason people listen to theses guys and take everything they say as truth. People don't know when they are doing a bit on their pods. I'd say the vast majority of comics are liberal but most won't come out and say it for fear of alienating their listener's.

yeah - never watched it but the commercials that are designed to draw you in to watch are even horribly unfunny. Is that show still on?

the commercials are stupid, so I'm guessing the show is too. If she were conservative, it wouldn't have lasted 2 episodes.
