I say maybe during a sensitive topic or argument.

Why so sensitive?

So are you saying that you're overly sensitive?

because generally speaking if you have enough time in life to bath with your dog, you should have enough time to type actual letters with a more sincere reply.

Depends.

Family through text? Yeah.

Professionally on teams? No.

Professionally through email? You have balls but this is hilarious

The worst is apparently "k". Means you took the time to make it lower case.

I always use a black thumb. It’s cooler that way.

Those things never cross my mind when texting. They were created by emotional females with nothing better to do than dream these things up.

Different take: I fricking HATE the thumb thing.

You send me a text. I stop what I am doing to read said text and send you a reply.

I put my phone away and get back to what I am doing. What's that? Another text? Stop what I am doing and open up phone to see your reply. All I get is a stupid thumb. What the hell?

OK? OK What? You read the text? You agree? You acknowledge but disagree? I assume you are going to read my reply when I send you a text. I don't need you to let me know. I also assume you agree because if you don't, then send me a text reply explaining your position. The thumb is a useless waste of time and needs to go away.

My perspective is that it confirms that they saw the text. Not many use “Read” receipts, and I hate wondering.
