That just off the top of my head.

Shaker Heights, Ohio
Buckhead in Atlanta
Aspen Colorado
Vail CO
Durango CO
Deer Valley, UT

There are probably 100 zip codes that are more expensive than any of the places that guy listed, except for the French Quarter, which is indeed very expensive.

Are we talking about Old Metairie?

Plenty restaurants. And again close enough to NOLA to enjoy all the benefits.

When I lived uptown I didn't really have any of this either. I still had to drive.

Dude the French Quarter, Garden District, St Charles Ave and Audubon Place is the most expensive places to live in the South if not the country.

Maybe not, but it really isn’t much different than many other country clubs. Fun fact: Even the most exclusive clubs need new members to survive. If you know a few people who will go to bat for you and have a decent reputation, it’s not a huge deal.

But if someone asks those people where they live, do they say they’re from “English Turn?”

No, they say they’re from New Orleans.

Maybe one day but I have colleges to pay for.

Something you know nothing about.

People from Houma, Slidell, Mandeville, Kenner, Metairie all say they’re from New Orleans when asked

Good work in here. People don’t understand the importance of American’s 52nd biggest city.

I know.

That’s the point the original poster was making about people from certain places being pretentious.

You’re proving the post to be accurate, not getting a zinger in on me.

All of Metairie looked old and shitty when I lived there back in the early-mid 90’s. Greater New Orleans is a hellhole I was glad to leave.

Nah. NOCC is pretty damn tough to get into.
Having a little money and k owing a few people will get you into Metairie CC and the Southern Yacht Club. That’s not how it works with NOCC
