This was the one I did the least of that's for sure.

But then again, I've only had two crimes perpetrated against me. I've been in LA since 2003, NO since 2008.

1) Baton Rouge - someone broke my car window and rummaged through my stuff, stole my CD player faceplate but couldn't get the player out. Of course, LSUPD implied I staged the scene and did it myself
2) New Orleans - someone pried open my gas tank and took my gas cap. I assume they wanted to siphon gas??? That was in 2009 or so.

Impossible, NIH knows that no one is safe in NOLA.

In the words of the great Ray Wylie Hubbard, "There's two kinds of people in the world. The day people and the night people. It's the night people's job, to get the day people's money."

I would stay an hangout in the Warehouse District for this group of girls instead of the Ritz. Take an Uber to the FQ and back.

New Orleans hands down is the dirtiest town I have ever been to. Full of scum. Save yourself a disappointment go somewhere else.

He wouldn't be the first. I fell for that when I was 19.

No kidding. Their other theory, besides me staging the scene, was that a lawn clipping from a mower shot a piece of wood that broke my car window.

I asked, "so this piece of wood broke my window, took my faceplate, tried to pry out the CD player, and rummaged through the car?"

I think that is when they moved on to the whole staged theory.

Thing was, I wasn't even going to call them, but some other LSUPD guy had seen my window busted and had put a tarp on it and left his card in my car. So it wasn't like I wanted CSI out there. I suppose that guy would be one of the decent few working there.

Link to the abundance of murdered tourists that the media has apparently swept under the rug?

Point where in my post did I say that a tourist was murdered and/or the media swept a murder under the rug. I do know that if I had a female friend or family member visiting the city then I would be worried for their safety.

Someone doesn't have to be murdered to be a victim. Pretty simple to understand.

Nothing quite like walking down Bourbon and the dealers whisper out "Cocaine/Crack" as they walk by you.
