I think those two (and hexadecaroon) are still words we don't say but they seem less bad somehow because it's a reference to one-quarter, one-eighth rather than etymology linked to livestock. Could make for a risqué rhyming word in your poetry, but risky in casual conversation. I mean, it's a dated racial classification system. I'm duotrigeseroon.

It's very pejorative. It's derived from the Latin word for mule, the offspring of a horse and a donkey. No biracial person would appreciate being referred to as mulatto. It's been off limits for a while.

I guess I'll have to shift over to using the word 'octaroon' from now on. Hope you're OK with that.

I’m guessing Cocaine nose would be what Artie Lange has. And if your neighbor has that, he’s been doing a lot of blow for a loooong time.

Thing with Artie Lange is he also snorted heroin and what really destroyed his nose was he accidentally snorted broken glass, then he got beat up by people he owed money too. When they punched him his nose collapsed

So his issue was far beyond just a coke habit

If it's really that bad, fentanyl will probably fix your issue for you by March.

1. Why do you know all their internal business?

2. Seems like or drawn to the drama & continue to probe a very trashy situation instead of monitoring from a distance.

3. I don’t get to know people like that and stay away front then for a reason.

4. Sounds like your neighborhood is extremely trashy and low quality.

5. Why do you even post that Jerry Springer situation here?

I’m pretty sure there’s stuff like this going on in every neighborhood, even the super high end ones.

The neighborhood goes to shite when it becomes predominantly rentals.

I, for one, appreciate it. Because Jerry Springer filled a niche we didn't know we needed, and have sorely missed since it's absence.

Stating the obvious, yeah, your neighborhood has a major problem. This will end badly.

You’re not overreacting—what you’re noticing are classic red flags of a household in distress that can spill over into your neighborhood.

You're right not to ignore it. Document what you see, talk with trusted neighbors, and use community channels like HOA or neighborhood watch to raise awareness. For immediate safety concerns, call the police non-emergency line so patterns are on record. Avoid direct confrontation but stay vigilant.

I don’t even notice when my neighbor gets new vehicles. I surely don’t know where they hang out.

The only part missing from this story is, OP was laying the pipe and the Husband caught them and spiraled.
