I saw that a few years ago, and I went into it very excited. Unfortunately, he was a miserable whiny bitch during the Q&A, even threatening to leave the stage and end the show because people were "Wooing" when cheering.
Cleese turned out to be a miserable human being, all things considered. Eric Idle appears to have had the most fun with his life post-Python.
Gilliam is brilliant, and invented an entire style of animation that paved the way for material such as South Park.
Terry Jones, however, is my favorite Python. I say, "could you get that, Deirdre" at least once a week. His delivery is always perfect.

It;s hilarious to those of us who are fun at parties and have a sense of humor.
I can see where the average incel wouldn't find it funny

It’s hard to get past how cucked British men are these days.
Gone are the days of Lord Nelson and Mad Jack Churchill

The 70's were al about goofy clown humor. Steve Martin filled stadiums with his 'wild and crazy guy' bit and SNL was doing a lot of slapstick and character driven humor.
I guess people weren't jaded by decades of degenerate shite yet.

I'd say you're crazy and your sense of humor sucks, but to be fair, I don't find anything that's supposed to be funny from about the last couple of decades the slightest bit humorous. I thought The Office was just a bunch of idiots yelling, for example.

I guess it’s just too sophisticated for me. Perhaps I should just stick to “Police Academy” and the like.

I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed the Monty Python TV series
The movies are OK. I can take or leave them for the most part, but they have their moments.
The TV program and the movies appeal to a higher level of intellect, which most American viewers don’t have.
What was mainstream average intelligence in Britain in the 1970s was probably double that of what it was in the United States at the time and probably five times what it currently is in the United States.

Perhaps you just made a true statement.

I don’t know if it’s higher intellect per se as much as you had to be up on British slang, inside jokes, and a bit of politics to get a lot of their humor, same with Benny Hill
