Is Louisiana red hot the most iconic southern sauce?

This stuff goes on everything. I know Tabasco is popular but I don’t think it’s as iconic to the south as the Louisiana hot sausce

Louisiana is the only brand we buy.

Is Louisiana more identifiable than Tabasco?

I mean... if you go halfway around the world and walk into a restaurant. What do they have?
It ain’t red hot.... it’s tobasco.

I prefer Louisiana and I live in Louisiana.

Tabasco is my favorite. I don’t care for the Louisiana brand.

Tabasco is not my favorite, but it's not only the most iconic hot sauce brand. It's also one of the most iconic brands in the entire world period, only a tier or two below stuff like Coca-Cola, McDonald's, and Nike.

Tobacco is sold in almost every country in the world.

Tabasco > Crystal > Louisiana

I now make my own out of the habanero and other hot peppers I grow in my garden, but up to then, I preferred Crystal over Tabasco or Louisiana Hot Sauces.
It's gotten to the point I now drink Tabasco, Crystal and others in that heat range. They don't have much kick after eating my stuff.
But to answer the question: Tabasco is the most popular by far.

Tabasco is the most iconic but Louisiana is better. A lot of out of state people are surprised at how many people in LA don't prefer Tabasco

Yeah, I've gotten more into specialty hot sauces in the last couple of years. There's some pretty interesting stuff out there if you look. Some stuff made with 3 pot chilis, habaneros, and ghost chilis. I even have one made with Carolina Reaper. It isn't particularly edible. I still like the basic hot sauces with some stuff, but they comparatively don't have much kick.

But yeah, Tabasco is known worldwide. Nobody outside of the South knows what Louisiana hot sauce is.

They take it to the space station. It’s sitting on restaurant tables all over the world.
