Tell her to stop being a fricking moron. But he's probably encouraging her.

He could tell her anything he wanted, but that doesn't mean she would listen. Tell me how he would be able to over rule her decisions?

Pull the State Police out, for one. Let her drown in her decisions.

I'd imagine he could use whatever laws enabled home to make the shutdowns in the first place and change it to local policies cannot be more restrictive than the state mandates, but I don't know for sure. I do know he's doing nothing though, which should bother you.

I think she and other similar politicians are trying to cause as many businesses to fail as possible so they can be replaced by other business investors, ones who are paying her for the privilege.

It's known that the Chinese have bought up a lot of failed businesses in Europe and elsewhere.

A secondary effect is that it helps the big chains and other large corporations, who can afford to weather the storm before making more money in the long run in the absence of competition.

The only new business within a mile of me that I've seen constructed in the last few months is a Burger King.

Mother fricker I'm sure agrees with what she's doing without having to say it. He is just sitting back like a spectator at a sports game eating his popcorn.

Since my other thread got the anchor, I'll say it here:

One thing I've learned during this whole ordeal is that liberty truly is a figment of our imaginations. Our 'leadership' throws the masses a few bones to keep them fooled and in line, but ultimately these low level public officials are all powerful. There are no checks and balances. This has been proven many times before, but it is crystal clear now to anyone with eyes or ears.

There are any number of ways he could exert pressure on her to get whatever the frick he wants. The office of the Governor of Louisiana wields a huge amount of power. Look how he's been able to control both the House and the Senate to keep any resolutions to break his stranglehold on the state buried in committee and calendared subject to call. And this is with an opposition controlled legislature. He could crush that Compton shitstain if he wanted to.

He wants to be senator, though and without New Orleans and Baton Rouge, the rest of the state is going to take a giant shite all over him. He knows that the two people on the top of his "do not frick with" list are the mayors of New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

It's as simple as that. Either of them turns their local democrat machines against him and his ambitions die instantly. He 100% CANNOT win a statewide race without block voting from both those cities. He barely won as a fricking incumbent governor WITH those cities.

New Orleans has a home rule charter, so he doesn't have as much power as he might over a parish with a police jury.

But still even in NOLA the state has a lot of authority.

I think JBE has the power to rescind the mayor's emergency orders. That's the big card he has.

If the a-hole David Vitter had been voted in as Governor like he should have been he would be ripping Destroya a new one. Vitter would not have put up with her nonsense. But they elected Honor Code because Vitter use to love hookers. And here we are.
