State law supersedes Municipal law

Depends on the way the law is written.

For example, in GA, having alcohol in an open container while walking around is illegal statewide, except that municipalities can permit it if they wish. Savannah has done just that.

Politely explain that the LOUISIANA Superdome will reopen for business immediately.

He’s not afraid to cross Latoya, he’s afraid to go against the national democrat narrative. Anything that goes against that narrative is sacrilege for Democrats at the moment.

Louisiana’s Covid actions are really middle of pack nationally, despite the high case load. Some heavy hitters (CA/NY/IL) are panicking far worse than JBE. Another tourist heavy area (HI) is shooting themselves in the foot more than even Latoya.

Currently you have SD and FL leading the “open the way” brigade, about 35 states kinda playing along with what everyone else is doing, and 10 or so states are in a full panic - at a caseload that even JBE would laugh at.

TX is acting restrictive, but spending some time there, anywhere that isn’t Dallas or Houston has exploited every loophole known to man.

This is on top of the fact the US is between Sweden and the rest of the Western world on our response. Quite simply - this is a global issue, with a global response failure, with a global fault in public health communication that lead to a panic.

The relationship between the governor of a middle population state and the mayor of a middle population city really isn’t what’s playing out or what’s at stake.

I know several people who are active on social media that have told me that more than a few people call her the mayor of Louisiana, these people are dead serious, that should tell anyone what they need to know about Louisiana in its current state.
