Major roads are clear for the most part, I just left the Dotd's emergency room 24hr crews are in place. All barricades and closures have been removed except one. We left all the high water signs in place. Pretty sure they'll be needed for the next round coming later tonight.
Things might get very interesting the next few days.

From what I've heard, the quality of Darrell's has gone down, so does it really matter if it floods? With Darrell gone, the place isn't the same.

Everything I've heard from family is that LC is good for now. If those models hold up though, it could get hairy. I saw one model had LC getting 20" by Tuesday morning.

Graywood actually does really well with water. Homes all sit high also. I'm headed there in the morning and will try to update.

I drove from McNeese area to Shell Beach Dr. around 8. All roads were clear inluding Ryan, Common, and Lake, and the lake is still below the low boathouses I passed.

People are still driving 15mph though.

Let's see them knuckles baw.

Lake Charles is good for now. We need time to drain tho.

Just dropped my wife off at work, no flooding in the downtown area as of now. Whatever dropped during the early morning has drained off pretty good. Seems like they've shifted the forecast a bit and have us getting heavy rain later today, so still be careful out there. And if anyone cares/needs last minute just in case supplies, Walmart on Ryan appears to be open right now.

Contraband Bayou has not climed over its banks except for about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon. It appears that those residents who had flood damage during Hurricane Ike were more impacted by the storm surge than the rainfall which I recall to be only about six or seven inches.

Recently people who reside downstream of me complained at the new mayor's district meeting that they are at greater flood risk due to the new hotels construction. I suspect that notion will be tested today.
