Is it weird to think that the 80s were 30 years ago?

Even though I was born in the 90s I always thought the 80s was a cool timpe period and it never felt old to me like the 50s and 60s did. It just hit me today that rhings such as the breakfast club, dirty dancing and van halen are over 30 years old.

Nah. Humans have been living and dying for thousands of years. Our lives are but a single letter on the human history page.

I was born in the late 70s but obviously spent most of my childhood in the 80s. It feels like a long arse time ago

The only reason you think that is because of math and some made up calendar. There is no past or future. Only the present.

Not to me, but I'm pretty good at math.

The 80s and 90s were generally just a great time to be a kid. Personally, I wouldn't have wanted to be an adult in that time period. Being a teen in the early 90s would have been cool due to the renaissance of great music that came about from the early to mid 90s.

Same. And I can remember when I was a kid in the 80s and the 50s were 30 years ago from then. And 50s themed stuff was big (Back to the Future, Hoppers, etc)

Except for technology, and certain styles.. not much has really changed since the 80's...

I was born in the early 60's.. Looking back to the 50's and 60's most baby pics, and pictures in general were in black and white.. TV shows were mostly in black and white as well, just seemed really antiquated.. Kid's born in the 70's and 80's were all use to color pics, and television..

Looking at cars in the 50's, 60's and even the 70's..Totally different from today. We weren't use to the foreign market that took over in the 80's, that's somewhat similar, again except for technology, to the cars we drive today.....

When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's, the 50 and 60's seemed like a long time from then as well...

Good thing you weren't born in the early 50's like me. You think it's been a long arse time for you-----I'll see your late 70's and raise you early 50's.

There are many weird timeline realities.

I grew up in 80s and the Vietnam war seemed like Ancient history. But we were closer to that war than kids today are to the Gulf War.

Yes it is. I was born in 67. I was a teen in high scool in the early 80's. Best days of my life were lived during the 80's.

Yeah, it's pretty wild to think about how long ago the 80's were.

I was born in ‘83. I wouldn’t change it for a thing.
