Is it weird that three famous people have recently died of pneumonia?

First Diane Keaton, then Kyle Busch, now Anthony Head (admittedly less famous). I know Keaton and Head were in their 70s, but still. I get that pneumonia is historically a common killer of the elderly, but Busch wasn't old and Keaton and Head were otherwise relatively healthy, as far as I know. Just seems unusual. Outside of (whispers) COVID, I don't recall another celeb death from pneumonia in recent years (Val Kilmer doesn't count, dude was sick AF already).

Time to mask up?

Unless I chip my front tooth and the dentist can’t see me until tomorrow, I’m not wearing a mask. That’s about all they are good for

More than 40,000 people die from pneumonia each year in the US. Is it weird that 0.0075 percent of them are celebrities in the last 12 months? Nah.

Pneumonia and pulmonary embolism death is very prevalent year over year and has been since records of it could be recorded. Just sayin'.

One of the things that goes when you get older is the swallow reflex. You aspirate your food, get pneumonia and die. They wanted to put my dad on a soft diet because he wasn't swallowing correctly. He said "I've put up with a lot, but I'm not going to put up with that." Sure enough, he had a constant low grade aspiration pneumonia that ultimately contributed to his death. But you have to decide what you're willing to endure for a few more months of life and that was his red line. I would have made the same decision. If you can't even enjoy your food, what's the point?

Bacterial Contamination: The Other Side of the Mask Story They Never Tell You
Dr. Fauci's own research that determined that most of the deaths from the 1919 Spanish Flu epidemic was not caused by the flu itself, but by bacterial pneumonia.

"The majority of deaths during the influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 were not caused by the influenza virus acting alone, report researchers from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health. Instead, most victims succumbed to bacterial pneumonia following influenza virus infection. The pneumonia was caused when bacteria that normally inhabit the nose and throat invaded the lungs along a pathway created when the virus destroyed the cells that line the bronchial tubes and lungs." - NIH”

The mask line is a joke, which I thought would be obvious. And further research suggests Diane Keaton probably had cancer or something for a few months before dying of pneumonia, though no one is saying for sure.

Nevertheless, a celeb dies every couple weeks probably and we always find out what killed them. Pneumonia killing a rich person who is not old and decrepit or sick with AIDS is just not something I recall seeing. Lot of critics in this thread but no one has given another example of a Kyle Busch type celeb pneumonia death in recent years.

I know (present tense) the person who is the longest-tenured heart transplant recipient currently alive in the State of Louisiana.

I’m not sure how that jibes with your statement but it’s fun fact.

Nice person who’s been using an otherwise dead person’s heart for decades and lives a wonderful life.

Check the box.

It’s simple and it’s a lifesaver!
