Is it weird that a 50k GMC truck’s big selling point is a tailgate that has a step on it?

I know they are nice trucks but their commercials are solely focused on a tailgate.

No, because it's dated interior is not the selling point.

They have to focus on something positive.

I was humoring myself at some of those new trucks

Can't believe you Plant operators and O&G baws pay that much and another tree fiddy for the truck nuts.

I'm looking at a 2016 ford explorer sport 4wd for like 30 grand thinking that shits high.

Hell I might just start riding a bike to work and save the extra money and put it back to retirement

I figured it would be more than that.

Yeah OP they’re really proud of that tailgate. They do offer them with a regular tailgate though.

I mean I could pay for that in cash, but I haven't bought a new car in 10 years and I'm wondering if I could make it 20

I've been very frugal with my money lately, I'll be 30 in a few years and want to watch it grow

Play to your strength. The only one with that tailgate. Can't market reliability or dependability.

Also don't tell you not use use the tailgate with a trailer hitch.

That tailgate is the dumbest thing I’ve seen on a truck in a while

That Ram interior is pretty damn nice but if the other two refresh their interiors in 2021 then I’ll wait it out.

Do people really buy trucks based on interior?

Serious question.

I’ve never really given the interior any thought.

Wait until someone opens the tailgate onto the trailer ball.

This vehicle would be used for cross country trips and the creature comforts come in handy for 1k+ mile trips

Yes.

The definition of ‘truck’ is almost as different now from the past as the word ‘phone’.
