My wife is like that. While my "recharging" is a day at the golf course with friends or in the deer stand, hers is to just take some time by herself at home. Took me a while to understand it, but once I did, I started to take some time for me too.

I'm the one who has been resistant. I like my own space. I never thought I was relationship material because I like my space. They all ended before for one thing or another...one I can go a week without talking. Doesn't bother me.
I don't know. She is pretty understanding but sometimes I just like to drink a few beers with my feet up and watch the game without explaining what PI is or why the yellow line is every 5 minutes.

Thankfully myself and my husband are both the personality types that need alone time to ourselves on a regular basis. We would kill each other without it. We tend to argue more on vacations together simply because we are just with each other 24/7.
I'm currently fantasizing of tomorrow night after we get home from this stressful trip and he goes to sleep...and I can just sit on the couch with a glass of wine by myself and catch up on my tv shows. Will be pure heaven.
I'm sure he's mentally counting down until my next night at work when he can have the house to himself all night.
