Epcot and Animal Kingdom have plenty of good food options

I’ll agree that Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are lacking.

Just got back today. Try the charred steak at mama melrose, one of the best steaks Ive ever had anywhere. Didnt want pasta or flatbread, so went this route...was highly impressed.

It’s certainly possible than an obviously autistic guy who went to college in Ruston wouldn’t be able to find his own arse with both hands and a nautical compass of exacting precision. Let alone a decent restaurant.

Yes. Was at WDW this week with the family. The weirdo adults who are decked out in Disney gear with no sign of kids give off a “I have daddy issues” vibe.

Disney actually has some pretty food spots now. Do you remember the names of some of the places you ate? Just curious as we’re going in a few months.

Not reading this entire thread. While I most likely wouldn’t go without my kids, I can’t fault people that do. The service one receives at Disney is unlike any other place I have ever been. It’s run better than any resort and, for the most part, the staff are genuinely happy doing their job. While the park food, With the exception of Epcot, is sub par, there are many excellent dining choices on the resorts. Victoria and Albert, the yachtsman, Jiko and Citrico are among my favorites. I would argue there are at least 12 excellent restaurants in all of Disney, possibly more.

Don’t have kids but would go to Disney on a vacation, no hesitation. It’s a night and day difference as an adult. Went in December and can’t wait to go back, even though I don’t have a planned time.

My son and I ate several places we had reservations at in the parks, primarily Epcot. All had the Aramark taste. It’s like I could see yeah you’re trying but the ingredients are shite so still taste horrible. About 4 days in we were absolutely starving for real food and that’s when we discovered downtown Disney. Went to a Wolfgang Puck pizza place there and it was heaven.

All of the downtown restaurants are using the same ingredients.

You still haven’t name the places in the parks. I’m genuinely curious because I have reservations at the Canadian steakhouse and the hibachi place in Japan.

I've been to Disney once with my daughter. I can't see myself ever going again unless it's with my grandkids. Not my scene.

I would love to go once without kids. But when the wife and I are vacationing without kids, Disney is the last thing that pops up.

Belles castle had the best food that I have ate there. Teppan was good for Hibachi but was expecting more sushi options.

The best food we had the entire 6 days we were there was at the buffets. I can't remember the name but we had to take a boat to get to one. I found the food to be pretty subpar

I've known people that go there on their own without kids.

They're normal people, too. Go figure.

When I see men there by themselves, I figure they're perverts/liberals.

Maybe once I guess if you really want to go, but there are so many other cool things to see in the world besides Disney.

I have a friend who's family is obsessed with Disney. They used to go 4 or 5 times a year. They finally just up and moved to Orlando and even got crappy jobs at the park. They named their kids Ariel and Belle. fricking weird if you ask me. Pretty sure they've never gone anywhere else on vacation in their lives.

This phenomenon has always been mind-boggling to me. Do these Disney people understand for the same price (assuming meal plan, hotel, etc) they could actually be visiting foreign countries rather shitty Epcot version of them?

The international food and wine festival in November in Disney is beyond fun.

You get to walk around and get wine drunk from wine all over the world and try foods from random countries.

The ride some rides.

It’s incredible

Used to work with a guy whose wife was obsessed with Disney. She collected all kinds of Disney stuff. Talked poor guy into a Disney timeshare
