Really what it comes down to. No one is complaining about a jacked guy in joggers.

It's the 260 guys dressed like he is going to costco in an outfit he bought from costco

It’s called respect. Respect yourself if nothing else. Good lord!

You may run into a former co worker, potential business client, potential employer, etc. Do you really want to present yourself like a teenager who can’t wake up before 9am?

This. Nobody is demanding you wear a suit. But it is disgusting when people wear short shorts, cutoff shirts, pajamas, etc...

I don't want your skin rubbing up against mine for 2-3 hours. I don't want to sit in a seat that your buttcrack juiced up from your negative inseam shorts.

If I see a friend or neighbor, I don't want to look like a burnout or goofball. If I see a colleague or customer, I don't want them thinking I'm lazy.

I run into friends, customers, and colleagues all the time when I'm flying. Do I wear a suit? No, but usually comfortable khakis, button down shirt, and fleece vest or loose blazer. Also the extra pockets come in handy. Phones, earbuds, pen, glasses, etc... You really all want that crap hanging out of one pocket like a Kangaroo?

Take private transportation if the general public gets your panties bunched

I try to dress to give me a good chance to get out of the plane if something goes sideways and we have to emergency evacuate.

Definitely not an age thing.

The majority of Americans are simply trashy.

those are not carried in your personal item? Like a laptop case front pocket or leather satchel or fancy backpack?
