Is it REALLY just all a crazy coincidence, or maybe something more?

Most know of The Simpsons and the Nostradamus like predictions they made, like Trump coming down the escalator or South Park's 'crazy' gender bending episodes of men in women's sports.

Or how so many of the things from the movie Demolition Man (1993) have come to pass (Attacks on Free speech, bans on smoking, greater divide between the wealthy and everyone else, etc.. )

It's "almost" like we're being forced to follow a script written by others from decades in the past.

( Neither truly politics or movies, I figured the OT lounge would be best for this post. )

Just like the Q idiocy, the sheer volume of "predictions" means that some will inevitably come true.

You didnt need to watch a 90s film, maybe pick up a history book?

There have been 768 episodes of The Simpsons. They’ve done everything. It’s hardly surprising when they catch something on the nose.

As for the rest, you’re shocked that some low hanging fruit in social commentary have come to pass? Seriously?

The Simpson’s escalator scene is from 2015 after Trump had already declared he was running for president. The gold escalator is in Trump tower so it’s not a stretch to have him come down it

The South Park episode was in 2019. They didn’t predict shite. It was already being pushed for men in women’s sports.

The Simpsons thing gets misconstrued because in 2000 they made an off hand comment that Trump was president right before Lisa but it wasn’t the elevator scene.

Barely ever touch the stuff growing up, hadn't done so in probably 25 years.

So, is that your honest reply, just ignore it and pretend this stuff isn't real?

People and television are constantly predicting things for entertainment value. They are bound to be correct on occasion.

Like doing the rain dance until it rains. Plus people are fairly predictable to begin with.

Seems like a lot of that was cryptic crap thrown out there and people drew their own conclusions and took them as fact.

I kinda thought that was a group of smart 15 year old computer nerds playing a game to see how much they could frick with people and get away with it…haha
