I know that rescheduling Good Friday will be impossible for a lot of companies, but there is nothing stopping the church from pushing Easter back 2 weeks. Families would be less likely to gather together before the government recommends too. And the Catholics can spare meat on Fridays for a couple extra weeks too.

You want Jesus to put off His resurrection for two months?

I'll phone the moon and get him to delay that full moon a bit for us.

They should if they still won't let people gather places by April 12. It's not like Easter is the same day every year anyways.

first they put aside the holy mass obligations due to secular causes and now you want them to delay the literal resurrection of our Lord and Savior?

If this keeps up people may just start thinking this is just a bunch of made up nonsense!

What? Just celebrate it with your immediate family that you live with. Attend a service through your local church on Youtube on Facebook then light up the BBQ pit and have an egg hunt for your kids. Sure I wish I could be with the rest of my family but with so many of them over 60, I dont think we should be around them for quite a while.

are you really this stupid? Most (if not all) catholic churches have suspended the obligation for attending weekly church services. Easter is going to happen whether the church is involved or not for catholics/Christians. The church isn't going to stop it or make them celebrate it.

and families are gathering whether its Easter or just a normal weekend with nothing else to do. They've been gathering for crawfish boils on weekends or just socially drinking with their neighbors on weeknights.

Well, except that the day Easter falls on is well defined. It's the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs after March 21. What, do you think they just put every Sunday in late March and April in a hat and pick one?

fricking moron.

No need to reschedule. Trump says the US will be open for business on Easter!
