Is it possible to find online old movie theatre butter?

This butter flavored crap poured on popcorn now at movies is just that, tasteless crap.
Regular butter melted isn't same thing. So how does one get the old butter that tasted so good before the Heath Nazis took over?

Google what you think it's called and then search it on Amazon.

Buy ghee at wal marks. The stuff off amazon is good too and is made with coconut oil.

For some reason my tablet is being bitchy on linking but try Whirl Butter-flavored Vegetable Oil. Possibly with real butter melted into it? I'm not sure if that's exactly what they used but it was definitely along the same lines. It also makes the best grilled cheese sandwich or fried toast. It' gets hot enough to crisp the bread nicely.

Absolutely. Ghee would be ideal for that.

Make it yourself. Melt a bunch of butter in a saucepan on low heat until all the white stuff rises to the top. Skim that off until a clear butter sauce remains.
For popcorn and many other things, it's THE BEST!!!

It was coconut oil not butter.

You'll want one of these too.

Pretty sure you’re looking for palm oil.

Haze, I am betting that was some kind of butter flavored shortening.

Get yourself some Flavacol, too and put it directly in your popping oil. That stuff probably accounts for more of the flavor of movie theater popcorn than the Buttar(tm) they provide for you to drench it in.
Thank me later.

What you seek is called clarified butter.

Coconut oil to pop the kernels then clarified butter (also known as ghee). Same stuff you dip your lobster tail in at a fancy restaurant. Ghee isn't too hard to find.

You can get one of the popcorn makers with the drum on it at Walmart. That comes with popcorn and oil. Taste like movie theater popcorn to me.

Roger Ebert used to bitch about this.

Cook the popcorn in clarified butter. Ghee is a form of that. Then add salt or a butter flavored salt. Flavocal is one of the flavorings commonly used at movie theaters. I prefer Jolly Time Butter Licious, which is made by Reese. LINK
