Is it possible humans "evolved" into monkeys thousands of yrs ago?

Let's just say ,hypothetically of course, that a group of humans was cut off from other humans for hundreds of years. Or thousands.
Is it possible that those humans could've "evolved" into a primative being? Adding more hair for warmth, scavenging for bugs and fruit because they were demographically cut off....
If they were separated from other up and coming civilizations, language wouldn't be developed and they would just use sounds. Then years of breeding led to different types of ape.
Is it possible scientists have it backwards??

I don't think there is a single bit of evidence that supports this.

hundreds of years.

Just a hypothetical

It would take wayyyyyyy longer that a few hundred years IMO. Tens of thousands of years for something to evolve/devolve that drastically.

No. We came from the same pre-human. Primates took a wrong turn, and didn't max their talent. They were the lazy pre-human. Nutshell, don't be lazy, or you will turn into a monkey.

Ok let's say a few thousand years...

I don't want to say it's impossible until we can get a DNA sample of sasquatch, but the DNA shows we're a monkey's cousin not a monkey's uncle.
quote:
Humans belong to the biological group known as Primates, and are classified with the great apes, one of the major groups of the primate evolutionary tree. Besides similarities in anatomy and behavior, our close biological kinship with other primate species is indicated by DNA evidence. It confirms that our closest living biological relatives are chimpanzees and bonobos, with whom we share many traits. But we did not evolve directly from any primates living today.
DNA also shows that our species and chimpanzees diverged from a common ancestor species that lived between 8 and 6 million years ago. The last common ancestor of monkeys and apes lived about 25 million years ago.

There are still tribes that have been completely cut off from civilization. They are mainly located in Papua New Guinea and along the Amazon. They aren't monkeys.

What would losing the intelligence that we have offer in regards to making it a more "survivable" characteristic? That and only that would provide for a reason to evolve in that direction.

Anything is possible in science, that's why it's so great!!

I have always wondered what is the end game for human evolution. As in what are we evolving into.

Of course it's possible. Just look at all the liberals
