Sounds like a petty fair sampling of Americans these days. Our society drives it in our busy lifestyles, yet lack of exercise, but even when exercise is in play, you have the major contributor that is almost always in play and that’s the FOOD WE EAT, and when your metabolism changes, it only exacerbates the problem that’s always been there. Our addiction to processed fast garbage food, snacks, and most importantly SUGAR, which is in everything we consume and in absurd amounts is showing itself, and I can tell you one thing. It’s gotten worse over time, and why I think this is quite simple. I judge it based upon what I see obviously before me compared to years past, but also in clothes sizes most commonly found in stores. The waste lines are ridiculous, and the fit is like a that of a paper bag.
Even when you try to eat healthy, odds are strongly in favor of you’re not really eating all that healthy simply because your choices out there suck balls.

Driven by the same addictions and market desires. You’re right.

It honestly seems like there are more healthy choices than ever but people have to actually have to make those choices and cook at home more often.

You guys guzzle sweet tea and sodas in the south. That's a problem before you even talk about other foods

We just went to Montana for vacation and everybody there is fit. They also don't sell big gulp soft drinks in any of the stores. Totally diffent environment as far as healthy choices.

25 people in a meeting seems like a lot and really counterproductive.
Maybe you should bring up Jeff Bezos' two pizza rule. They're all fat so the word "pizza" should get their attention.

I’d say there are more healthier options, but not necessarily more healthy options, and especially not always available to everyone without taking the time to really go out of your way to seek it out, and that’s not always practical all the time depending on what someone’s work, or lifestyle revolves around, and so it’s not going to affect change in America as a result of that. It is doable, but because it takes so much planning and effort to do it, it just isn’t going to affect America’s wasteline on a whole and lifestyles.
Take an average middle class family of four. Mom and dad both work chasing the carrot to provide for the family. Kids start off the day with a bowl of sugary cereal, and then go to school during the day and eat very unhealthy doses of processed slop at the school cafeteria, Mom and dad get off work, mom picks up the kids from Mrs. Susie’s house, and bring junior to baseball practice, and missy to dance class, and by time everyone makes it back home after the day is done it’s too late for dinner, so it’s to the microwave we go, and in goes more processed filth designed to save time, of which we have very little of these days. These kids eventually grow up, and what they are familiar with is what they know, and what they know is crap food and a very low emphasis on IT versus TIME, so as long as it satisfies the empty feeling in their bellies, the time it allows them is much more important to them than what they are consuming. This is only going to get worse as they start their own families.

It was a stupid "Do this to people - Don't do that to people" meeting.
Don't smack women on the arse.
Don't put your hand down your pants and walk around the office.
Don't ask the black woman why her hair is different than yours.
etc..

Can we not have threads like this? Most large people have tried diets and workout plans but the reality of it is that if you have big genetics you have very little chance of losing the weight
