this is a fat person excuse. Of course different people burn calories at different rates, but very few are just naturally fat.

When i went to Europe years ago, the only fatties I recall seeing were American tourists.

Yeah "board's narrative" in this case means "science."

Insulin resistance can indeed have some genetic origins. But absent some major defects, people can easily keep their weight and visceral fat to relatively safe levels just by cutting out sugar and watching PUFA (and lowering O6:O3 ratio), not to be confused with FUPA, which I don't watch to watch. Ever.

There are skinny-fat people--even high-level athletes-- who are diabetic or prediabetic due to excessive sugar intake during training.

So yes, some people can eat what they want and remain skinny for various reasons. But not many people can escape their poor diet. And I don't think this is just a self-control issue.

It's an education issue. When I eat stuff that's bad for me, at least I know a lot about what is bad for me and in what quantities and make an informed decision.

Rather we have people feeling guilty when they eat a ribeye, butter or eggs and feeling healthy when they drink fruit juice and skim milk, do a "detox" program, and eat nonfat yogurt and whole-grain bread.

We are so terrible about what we eat that it will take a major major change to really be able to assess fully, especially on a macro level, genetic predisposition to obesity.

How's there supposed to be a civil war if everyone's far and got diabetes and asthma?
