My kids ran every year in a Cross Country meet in Thibodaux and one of the parents from a team down there had one on a leash and in a diaper. That was pretty bizarre.

Whether you can keep them or not is kinda moot, once you consider they have claws on their hind legs that can disembowel you.

Those things are like wild pigs here.

They are a nuisance animal.

As an Aussie, can confirm this is true. They'll also cause a hell of a lot of damage if you hit one with your car too. Taste bloody good though.

When I was young a local guy had a monkey he put a diaper on but no leash. Not sure if it's true but the rumor was he paid 20K for it. That thing would swing around in the trees in his neighborhood and I think inspired by TeenWolf they let it ride on the roof of his truck. Best part is the damn thing bit his thumb off.

But can you actually legally own a kangaroo ?

I saw a kangaroo at a party in New Orleans several years back. Went with friends of friends to this bash in the penthouse in one of the hotels on Canal (Ritz-C maybe?), and the residents had a half grown kangaroo on their coffee table. They whisked us out to the roof/patio where most of the party was held, so I didn't really get to check it out for long. Seems the owners had a ranch or something in rural MS and owned a bunch of exotic animals.

I have to be honest, a wild pig has never been an issue in my life. dont think I have ever seen a wild pig, besides on my plate after friends have hunted it
