If it takes like 20 minutes to get to me and it's not right then f no.

If it's the opposite or they're refereeing good fights then I'll prob hook em up with a couple bucks

I don't know how customary it really is there's no rule on it

I've also read here that only poors carry cash. Quite the conundrum.

Why wouldn't you ? They bring out your food the same as any waiter in a restaurant.

So I sit in my car like any other restaurant? I order into a microphone at any other restaurant? The person bringing my food didn't even take my order, like any other restaurant. And just like in a restaurant, I don't have the option of doing anything but ordering from my car so they HAVE to bring me my food. I don't tip Sonic. You're a chump if you do.

I get the 50 cent corndog and let them keep the change from the $1 bill.

Almost 100% tip.

Explain. Even if they work for $2/hour, if their tips don't make minimum wage the restaraunt is required to fill the gap.

To all of the people using the card excuse, its hard to believe that none of you have any cash whatsoever on you.

I'm an overtipper in most situations but I literally don't have 2 pennies in my bag or car. I just don't visit Sonic ever, but if I do.. I don't stress over not being able to tip since I never have cash.

Where would I ever get "incidental" cash other than the ATM which I never visit?

Now wait a second.

1. They are paid minimum wage. Not tipping is fine.

2. That latter line of thinking is stupid because many in bars/restaurants will get the minimum if they pursue this and then be fired. Let's not act like that's a reasonable course of action for traditionally tipped employees.

Yeah it's not an "excuse," it's 2018.
