Looks passable to me. They left the road opened and unattended for days with water covering the road two weeks ago.

I've dabbled with some low ph stuff. I suggest you do a drive by and see if you can tell where the "low ph water" was located. They dumped sulfuric and oleum into the ditches, in excess of 300k gals.

Capt, they have been working and sampling the water at the corner of 3115 and hwy 30.

i have the answer. 74 is blocked, correct. Yes, at the barricades there is little water, but further down the road beyond the barricades there is a low spot in the road and it's a foot deep. It's in the rural part of the road, therefore, it would be difficult to turn around.

Could that be why some horses' skin was falling off their legs?

how does one "lose" that much sulfuric acid?

it was in a tank right? how would a tank designed to hold that type of acid be breached by flood water in that area, were there class 5 rapids knocking shite over on 74?

That's a question which, when answered, is likely to cost Honeywell a whole lot of money.

EDIT: At least it was "just" the sulfuric. It wasn't the HF that got out of the corral.

Yep. 74 open. Nice. Now if bluff would just go ahead and open I'll be set.

Word is 250,000 gallons. Personally know someone who tested water at hwy30.
Yes it was a 2 ph on the asphalt. Sulphuric heavier than water no telling what ph was in ditch below surface. I'm certain the sacks of
Caustic will help but if they overshoot the caustic high ph can be equally as bad as low.
Amazing 3115 was allowed to stay open south of 30. Time will tell be damage done to many unknowing people's vehicles.

Been seeing the guys in boats pumping the water @ 30 and 3115. Last week I went to Total, after leaving I got stopped on 3115 at the light, saw about a 5ft gator in the water 25-30 yards from the boats.

Ran up to Gonzales for a few minutes, came back down 30 going to St Gabriel and those brothers were out of the water and under their tent, gator was still out there chillin

just low ph water, and it's a 4 not a 2. Let's get our facts straight.

2 weeks ago there was dead fish, mostly Minnows and crawfish.
To answer your question 1-2
Ph water will "melt/dissolve" limestone over time.
Now how that correlates to paint, brake lines, undercarriage unfortunately may be seen soon.

Ph is a measurement of acidity, 7 being neutral. Lower ph number=higher acidic content
