It'll be reallllllllll interesting to see a year from now.

Swamp water is naturally acidic, but I believe it's typically in the 4.5-5 range. Soaking in 2 for a month or so is going to smoke some shite.

It's the brakes that I'm noticing almost as much as the paint. Weak sulfuric acid is some real bad shite.

You'll be fine. The EPA goes above and beyond if that's really what happened. It's not like you drove through a two foot deep collection of sulfuric acid coming straight out of a tank. If a spill really did happen, the concentration got so watered down by now that it's nothing to be worried about.

You would be shocked to know the pH of things we deal with everyday.

The water there is a ph of 2.0. Let that serve as to why they don't want you driving through it.

Honeywell lost 2,000 tons of something (can't remember what chemical) in the flood and they're trying to keep it hush-hush.

Good thing I bought that "Acid Rain" protection plan for my Dodge

I feel sorry for the operator who pencil whipped his round of that tank and checked off no leaks.

Shouldn't there be some sort of public notice as required by the EPA?

If the acidic waters made contact with people's homes, they have a right to be informed. I'm sure that acidic water could have some long term effects to a home and their yards

I'm real confused about this too. Normally take Bluff and 74 every day and it's really messed up my routine.

The road has been cut all the way across in three places to let the trapped water flow out.

There is an environmental company staked out on 3115 between 30 and 74, they would have to disclose it though. 3115 has no water anymore either and is still closed

bluff is still closed as well in one spot by curve even though someone removed signs from C braud road

Traffic has been a fricking nightmare in prairieville Bc of this, and the other closures. I'm trying not to lose my mind but this is getting old.

Shoutout to APSO for helping direct traffic at the I10/73 interchange. That helped tremendously this morning.

St. Gabriel PD has also helped out with traffic from Bayou Paul to 74. It's still a clusterfrick from 74 to I10 though
