Well White Oak, Heights Blvd, 19th Street and Studewood are primary backbones of The Heights If beer is your thing, then go explore and get a growler at Premium Draught on Studewood
Will I find you there if I go

It’s fairly incredible you’ve been there for 4 months and don’t know where White Oak is
Good tip I’ll definitely check it out.

Well, I don’t work there, so I suppose only if you’re lucky…

Houston City > Atl
ATL Burbs > Houston
Houston is flat. Even shittier roads. Huge mosquitos. Hot af.
Houston weather is better in January.

If you want to live the boat life in Texas I recommend the lakes to the west of Austin. Lake LBJ/Horseshoe Bay/Marble falls etc.

Houston is better bc it has more Louisiana culture than ATL. It’s a nice big clean city with good infrastructure and great sports, Tons of quality poon tang; but still close enough to LA to enjoy crawfish, Cajun food , lsu football , and visit family in LA . Htown get my vote.

Deservedly so. It's a shithole.

PTC and South Fayette is a great area.
McIntosh, Starr's Mill, Sandy Creek and Whitewater are all great schools. Whitewater covers all of South Fayette to the Coweta/Spalding lines. It is an excellent school. You're offbase on this one, bud.
Our favorite place to eat is in Fayetteville.
I politely disagree.
Fayette County was once a top 10 per capita income county in the country. It's witnessed a historic decline alongside a lot of metro suburban areas, but it's worsened by the fact that it's completely surrounded by undesirable areas ranging from iffy to outright ghetto. PTC and South Fayette County are an island, and that island is shrinking.
What are the selling points that overcome the walls closing in, having bad/no interstate access, limited good development, etc.? If you want a horse farm and can't afford Milton, sure go live in Brooks, especially if you work at Delta, CFA, etc. But I certainly wouldn't recommend it for someone moving to Atlanta unless they're willing to be cut off from 90% of Atlanta's better offerings.
Sandy Creek is by no measure a "great school" unless you're talking about D1 athletes. Whitewater is slipping and will continue to slip as the Clayton influx gets further south. SM and McIntosh are fine, but none have the type of consistency a place like Walton has, and I'm no massive fan of East Cobb.
Anyway, what's the place to eat?

But you proceed to comment.
I think Houston sucks, FWIW, but it’s got tons of great stuff to do. I just wouldn’t want to live in the concrete jungle.

Houston has:
- an amazing port
- H-E-Bs all over town
- Buccees surrounding it
- Widest highway
- Probably more taller buildings than at-lan-TA.
It's much more fun to tell people you're from Houston, TEXAS than at-lan-TA.
ETA: And Houston, TEXAS has the world's biggest rodeo.

I grew up in Atlanta and now live in Houston. Atlanta is trash compared to Houston. Also, frick Dallas, home of the thirty thousandaire.

Spot on. But outside of the Beltline, everything else in Atlanta sucks.

If you’re an OT baller Houston is wonderful. If you cannot afford the high life in river oaks, memorial and Tanglewood , and some stuff near rice then I think it prob sucks.

Geographically speaking, if you’re an outdoor person, Atlanta is arguably the most well positioned city in the country, definitely the southeast.
Within a 3-5 hour drive you have access to beautiful mountains and beaches. Plus, for those who like international travel, the flight deals and worldwide destinations out of Atlanta are awesome.
Beautiful terrain too. I love the hills in and around the city of Atlanta.

I watched a bum squat down, spread arse, and blow diarrhea all over the sidewalk at 5p in a high foot traffic part of town near the convention center in Houston. Meanwhile, the homeless have only threatened to kill me a few times in ATL.
So ATL.
So ATL.

Katrina doomed Houston to eventually have the same fortunes of Nola.
