You wont really have a clue about what life is until you have kids. I really pity those who dont get to experience being a parent.

Since having kids, I don’t see a purpose in life without them. Why am I working, investing, staying fit, etc. sure I could do it for myself but doing it for the kids is way more motivating and enjoyable. Seeing the joy on their eyes through experiences is astronomically more enjoyable than if it was just me and my wife experiencing something nice. It just feels like my purpose as a human is to form a bond with my children and raise them to be in the mold of myself so they can continue their purpose in life.

Dang.
Seems like a lot of people depend on their kids for purpose and happiness.

Love my kids, but don't depend on them for my wellbeing.

Well being and purpose sound like two different things.

For anyone who needs to see this, having children is the greatest thing a person can ever do with their life. They are your legacy. They give your life meaning. They give other people’s lives meaning. They carry the flame of life into an uncertain future.

It takes courage to have children but if you are uncertain about it you have to turn off the doubts. The doubts are LIES! Start your legacy TODAY! DON’T WAIT! It will be the greatest thing you do in your life! And plus you get to have SEX to do it!

Having kids is the greatest joy. 5/3/7mo, and although some days are tough, some nights are tiring, it’s been the honor of my life.

Some people have no business being a parent and others probably should wait a few years before bring a child into their life then again life is definitely not perfect.

Alot of people see a man in his 30s without kids and think I'm lucky because I am free and can do anything I want everyday. Id much rather be coming home and providing for a family. Theres nothing I would rather have today than children. I REALLY regret ruining a relationship or 2 when there still were women without kids my age that would make good companions. I guess Im paying back the karma for my early 20s.

Awesome thing about this dude is that it’s not too late for you to have a great family by a long shot!! Women have a ticking biological clock. You don’t!! You just have to get out there and find some young lady to tame.

Not everyone is cut out to be a good parent. And it’s ok if you take a long hard look at yourself and your wife and decide it’s not for you. If that’s the case then do not have kids. You and them will both be miserable for a very very long time.

Now for those that actually want kids….AND are prepared to do what it takes to be good parents, then yes, nothing in life is more worthwhile.

52 here and have a grown daughter and a grown son, both of which are happily married. I have 4 terrific grandkids so far and when we are altogether there is no happier and fulfilled people on earth then me and my wife.

I love my parents but they’re the prime example of people that didn’t need to have kids with one another. Stayed together for us.

Made me and my siblings’ lives a living hell.

that's unfortunate but they did show you what not to do so that should help if kept in perspective if you do have kids.

I have 3 and I cant even begin to imagine life without them now.

If you feel the need to ask this question, you probably need to put it off for a while

It is the main thing you will see as worth it down the road.

I would easily have an extra million if I hadn't had kids, but WTF, I have enough and those kids (and the grands) mean everything.

I was raised to believe children are a blessing from God.

It's not for everybody, but I respect the folks who do right by their children.

The problem is that a huge chunk of society has no business procreating and they end up being terrible, irresponsible parents who leach off the government and my tax dollars go to pay for their support.

frick those people
