Been trying to sell an item on it for two weeks. Is this item still available? Yes it is. No response. I'll give you $150. $200 is as low as I can go. No response. Someone completely different. Will you take $175? I will take $200. Ok man, I'll catch up with you later when I'm back in town.

Sounds like you need to lower your price.

You're definitely going to end up taking less than $200.

Yes and overpriced.

I look at guitars, golf equipment, and truck parts. Without fail Facebook people are asking ridiculous prices for used items. I dont know why but craigslist people seem more reasonable.

People are retarded when trying to buy or sell used stuff. Priced way too high. Try to buy for way too low.

Old crappy cars are the worst. Thanks Obama for ruining the car resell market with cash for clunkers. Now everyone wants $10,000 for their 1998 piece of crap.

Facebook Marketplace

I think its trashy as it gets...the majority of things being "sold" are generally low ticket items that really should just be given away. I'm not a Garage Sale kind of person.

i sell stuff there very often, its SOP

i just reply yes it is then delete the message box since 19 out of 20 never reply again.

even the ones who do reply ask 5 or 6 questions then say they will message you tomorrow but never do.

just par for the course there as most ask if its still for sale just as a book mark type thing in case they want to come back to it

also you should delete and repost the ad after 3 or 4 days since it gets pushed down the page fast as the newest ads stay on top of those listed

facebook marketplace sucks but its the best form of mass advertising to sell something

that letgo site is pure crap and not worth using, prices arent shown with the ad on the main page, and it doesnt have much views because of that. the messaging feature also doesnt notify you that you have a message or a reply so you have to blindly waste your time to go look for a messages and replies.

craigs list will just get you set up to be robbed

Depends on what you’re selling... some ratty arse old casting couch that reeks of cigarettes or slightly used clothes that are in great condition and have nothing wrong with them

It's not just Cash for Clunkers, one of my two or three favorite shows is American Pickers. They've been on the air for 8 years, and they're paying "picker prices" which have become insane for items. Admittedly some are rare, but some are not, yet they're paying hundreds, even thousands of dollars for things that on the surface don't seem worth it.

It filters down to the internet, to FB, to LetGo, CL, and the other one...

Once had to deal with a guy who worked as an aide who talked about facebook marketplace and let go like it was his fricking retirement plan. He would come in all excited that he scored a big box of DVD's he was gonna list...or this table that was only kinda scratched up he was gonna make bank on.

Also, he would tell me proudly how he and his gf of 3 months were trying to get pregnant....so that should answer your trashy question.

This week I bought a Bose Wave Radio and two Dyson Vacuums that were barely used.

10 cents on the dollar.

So I must be trashy!
