The point that has already been made is that kids now can't get away from the bullying when they leave school. It follows them. If you can't comprehend that then I don't know what else to tell your neanderthal mind.

I was a poor, goofy looking nerd. I would come home from school and just go to my room and cry many days cause I so badly just wanted to be seen as one of the "cool" kids and not be teased so much.
I could only imagine how much worse it would be for a child that was like me nowadays. We see kids bullied a lot at work. They will get admitted for something else and we see the cut marks all over an arm. From cutting themselves to cope with how much they perceive their lives to suck. Many of those kids are bullied all the time but also dealing with severe social issues at home as well.

A lot of bullying these days is done not only in person but via social media. It is and always has been a problem and it's exacerbated now by the fact that a person can be bullied without being in the same room as the bully.

Do you feel that way about people who lose their jobs as a result of groups of anonymous users of social media?

You have a very liberal interpretation of bullying.

Bullying has been around as long as people have. It will be around as long as we continue to be. While the avenues to bully someone else have obviously expanded with our technology, the act of being an a-hole to another kid is still more of an individual occurrence. Shitty parents are more likely to raise shitty kids just as these helicopter parents are more likely to raise kids who overreact to the tiniest little incident.

It's fricked up but I don't know if that qualifies as bullying.

I like to think that I'm a realist. If you don't think that bullying along with other human traits, good and bad, are evolving with social media I'd have to say that we need to agree to disagree.

Tgrbaitn08,
Of course I would pay. I like not being beat up.
Plus I learned the game early. Make friends with the alphas and if you have to pay a little to get in, then so be it.
Atleast, I won't get bullied.

A sixth grader kneed me in the nuts for no reason when I was in fourth grade. That's the only thing close to bullying that ever happened to me. That guy was an a-hole to everyone and probably ended up in jail.
I don't remember ever bullying anyone, but I saw a little bit of it mostly playing football. I remember people laughing at "weird" kids that stood out because of the way they dressed or cut their hair. It was never poor kids that couldn't afford nice clothes, just people that chose odd things. One idiot wore a captain's hat, like you can buy for $5.00, every day. Another guy acted like he knew Kung Fu and carried nunchucks around most of the time.
We had some guys that were a-holes to everyone. They didn't just pick on weaklings, they messed with everyone and would fight at the drop of a hat.
I don't think kids fight as much now. That may be why bullying is a problem. If there's no penalty for you f'ing with me, you'll probably keep doing it.

My little brother(the mentally challenged one) was shoved and locked into a locker by a bully at his school when he was in middle school. I wanted to go to the school and beat the little shite that did that to my poor brother myself. This was only weeks after my brother's first day at middle school.....where no one helped him navigate his schedule (changing classes) and a teacher found him that afternoon wandering the school crying cause he didn't know where he needed to go.

Thats fricking terrible nurse. Could they not find someone to at least help him navigate the school for a while?

Yeah bullying is just a kid from a broken home smoking cigarettes at school and stealing lunch money.

Tgrbaitn08,
Looks like we would get along just fine. I'm all about people watching, making jokes, and getting happier as I drink myself.
So jumping high five to you!

Is fricking smash someone's face or get mine smashed if I was to witness someone doing that to a mentally challenged kid.

This is apparently a fabricated crisis.
Not at all. Social media and relaxed discipline in schools/at home has given some little shits that would typically just get their arse beat for trying to bully open season.
And teenage girls are the absolute worst.

Actually agree a lot with this. When I was a kid, fighting usually put an end to the issue one way or the other. Even if the kid getting bullied didn't necessarily "win" the fight, the act of fighting back would usually cause the antagonist to just move on as their mark was now standing up for themselves. I got bullied by a much larger kid in grade school, as I was probably the smallest boy in the class, but as soon as I tackled him after he threw a football at recess and we fought probably 90+ percent of the class was instantly on my side including most of his friends. I definitely didn't "win" the fight, it was the usual 2 kids rolling around and swinging wildly but he never bothered me again after that. He even became one of my better school friends later on.

Do you believe the only things that exist are things you have personally observed?
