Do those zero tolerance policies apply to elementary school kids? Seems a little ridiculous to have those policies for kids that young.

There used to be a neighborhood kid that was older than all of us. He would sit in his driveway and sometimes hide in the garage wait for us to drive by on our bikes. Sometimes even throw tennis balls basketball soccer balls at us. He will try to catch Us and pin down spit in our face give us wedgies beat up on us whatever just a big a-hole bully. Now he's fat bald married to some fat chick, has three fat kids and he's a fricking loser and I couldn't be more happy to see it bullies definitely get what they deserve later in life

Bullying was never a big deal when I was in middle and high school. But then again, I didn't spend time with the poors.

The Town Marshall and European golf pro I talked about where the kids that got bullied, not the bullies. I would imagine the bullies are still living in Hooterville, most likely in mobile homes.

Yeah, we had gangs when I was in elementary, but aside from mental bullying, there was definitely no physical bullying in middle or high school. That was just trashy as shite. If it got to the point where 15 kids in 7th grade were beating up one guy, no matter how much we disliked him, I'd like to think my school would have gotten together and either rat on them or reenacted this scene from Bad Santa to the bullies: LINK

For sure. I wasn't intending for it to sound that that was the easy way to handle it now. I actually think it was easier 25 years ago. Obviously violence isn't always the answer but you wonder if some of these zero tolerance policies actually make the issue worse in the long term than if kids could just duke it out for 30 seconds,go to detention together and then be done with it.
Being in detention for a week with my "bully" was actually what made us friends longterm.
As far as the little pack mentality everyone jump in bullshite, I'd assume that's more a reflection of kids having shitty parenting. Who knows.

If a mentally or physically retarded kid got picked on at my middle school he would have been handled by both the school and students.

You're fricking retarded if you don't believe bullying isn't an issue in this country. There is bullying literally everywhere, in any environment, in any age group. It is absolutely a problem. Also if your kids say there isn't any bullying, then they're fricking lying. Big time.

Seriously, if a bunch of 7th graders were pulling this shite in my junior high, feel pretty confident the 8th and 9th graders would have kicked the dog shite out of them.

Don't project your shitty town/school onto me. And I don't think my college kids would lie to protect some high school bully from 4 years ago.
I also don't think middle school girls being bitches to each other is bullying. I've seen plenty of that.

Aside from what that redneck piece of trash poster said on the last page, its the worst bullying possible. Bullying with guys they just usually want to kick their arse for a bit, and then leave them alone for a while. They don't care what they get up to on the side. Girls are much crueler and truly want to ruin the person's life. They'll lie and manipulate and make them feel like they are horrible pieces of shite. It's definitely bullying.
