Is being ignored better than being bullied? Mardi Gras walloped Teedy’s mandates

Nobody’s even going through the pretense motions anymore. Almost seems like it’s the best thing to happen in the face of something so absurd. Who needs a formal declaration really?

There was virtually no mask wearing or vaccine mandate BS. Almost no one cared.
I did get asked for vaccines at one restaurant.

Of all the businesses I entered last weekend, only one checked for a vax card...the f-ing Kingpin near Upperline and Prytania...LOL

When the 2nd round of statewide mask mandates started, almost no places here in BR went back to enforcing it like they did first go round. Especially a week or two in. The few places who might have gone back to enforcing it saw that nobody else was, so we stopped having a mandate weeks (months?) before it ended.

I haven’t been asked to show a vax card in Orleans in awhile except at maple leaf.
Masks have been non existent. The entire thing was for show by Cantrell.

Yeah screw them. I walked almost half a mile to the one in City Park last week so I could take a dump. They wouldn’t let me in because I didn’t have my mask and didn’t have any to give out

Absolute zero mask wearing or vaccine checking at the balls or after parties. You could've shown them a picture of anything while not wearing a mask and they'd stamp your hand and let you in.

Caught parts of the Rex Comus meeting of the courts on WYES. Not one person wearing a mask.
One of the hosts spent ten minutes explaining that they decided not to require masks because the CDC has loosened mask restrictions and because the venue checked vax status.
Mmmmmmk, so that still doesn't address the citywide mandate that is still ostensibly in place. They were clearly ignoring and bullying the real Queen.
Just goes to show, no one gives a fuq. No one.

Milan Lounge was checking as well. I was surprised that dive bars of all places would enforce this.

She’s too stupid to understand that her best bet to retain a modicum of actual respectability would have been to officially end it all before Mardi Gras. As I alluded, I think I actually sort of prefer the way it played out.

Rouses on Tchop strongly enforced masks. Ms Maes strongly enforced vaxx and checked ID to match, but not masks. Those were the only places I even bothered trying since I don't deal with that garbage unless I have to

Saba asked for vax cards.
We were with some family in town in early 20s and they started getting out IDs because they look young and one bar owner thought we were getting vax cards out and said "I don't want to see your vax card, your personal health information is your own".

Anybody who shows a vaxxx card in order to give their money to a business is a cuck.
