Is anyone who’s been working remotely finding they’re drifting away from eye contact more?

I’ve been working remotely for about 6 months now. So far so good on productivity. I still go out and do things but at a lower rate than before because things are just closed or I’m trying to save money. So undoubtedly I’m just having less human contact than pre 6 months ago. I’ve noticed myself having incredible problems meeting eye contact with people and a much more noticeable tendency to talk past or away from someone. It’s not that I’m avoiding it on purpose. I’m just having to really concentrate to make sure I’m making eye contact vs it coming naturally. I’m not exactly a shy person and my dad made sure when I was very young to teach me how to respectfully interact with someone. Good eye contact, listening, firm handshake, all that so this has never been a problem before.
Has anyone else noticed this happening to them? I guess it’s just like anything else. You go 6 months without flexing those muscles and you start to develop bad habits.

Me and your Mother have great eye contact

Covid was all a liberal plan to turn people into betas by keeping them home and ruining their social skills.

I've actually had problems maintaining eye contact with women since around 12 years old. Of course it's gotten easier as they've gotten uglier and fatter.

I've been mostly home for 6 months but I haven't noticed anything like that. I have a family so I'm just home alone during the day.
I do find it's odd for me to not interact with anyone in person all day. It makes me a little stir crazy and I'm pretty introverted to begin with.

I spend time with my gf a lot but I guess based on the dynamic of my apartment we are not staring straight at each other to talk. We are talking from other rooms or while we read/watch tv/do work. Maybe I should work on that. We don’t feel distanced or anything but if I think about it that’s how we are communicating.

I’m sure most of the non essentials are used to looking at the ground since their wife’s bf walks around without clothes on all the time

You have the autism. Did you get a vaccination in the last 6 months?

That's why a like to pull out my pecker during zoom calls. It encourages eye contact.

I’ve noticed that when I wear a mask, I forget that my eyes aren’t covered and I tend to stare at women without realizing it. And I talk to myself out loud when I wear the mask, too. “Hey! Check out that chick’s arse!”
Stuff like that.

My wife has been back in the office since May and my kid went back to school in August so I hang out with 2 dogs and a cat most of the day.
We hang out together in the evenings and weekends of course but it's weird not going to the office like I've been doing for over 20 years at this point.

Not at all. I miss talking to people face to face. My issue is boredom

No, but I will go 8 or 9 hours sometimes without speaking a word. That is a little weird.

Oddly for me, it is the opposite. I have always been a mouth watcher instead of eyes as I get more micro-expression information from the mouth. Years ago when my wife and I had one of our first arguments she accused me of looking over her head, it was just one of the few times I was actually making full eye contact.
Anyway, masks prevent me from getting any feedback from the mouth so now I focus on the eyes. Masks make me feel very distant from people.

More eye contact. It’s the only feature I can see in people now.

I’ve been having the opposite problem. After working remotely and not much socializing for months, when I’m in a social situation I’m fighting to not go overboard with the talking and general interacting.
