I’m considering it. I already budget for a cut once every 4 weeks. Was wondering if anyone else is paying their barber who is out of work and unable to cut hair? I’m also referring to those not just doing it on the side outside of their establishment.

I was just thinking about sending some money to my barber today. I know he’s got to be hard up right now.

No haircut, no money.

They'll get a bigger tip the next time I'm able to get the lettuce trimmed.

Definitely paying mine. Its tough to find a reasonable barber in Dallas that doesnt charge $100, so I am happy to pay my normal rate of $30 for no cut to keep the guy going. Ready for a cut though, the ole mop is getting bad.

My barber getting $847 a week plus cutting his family's hair on the side.

He gave me a Benjamin and said "Cuts are on me until I open in August".

Will be another cash based business that is going to have a tough time with SBA grants/loans/unemployment

kind of like after the BP spill all the charter fisherman etc saying they were loosing 100K a year by not being able to fish, BP says okay let us reimburse you for your losses, bring me your tax returns for the last 3 years...... and then they cut them a check for the 15K they claimed

Do people really have a barber they know by name?

I just go to the shop and take whoever is available. Just tell her to give me the generic white guy haircut.

I bought a gift card (two cuts worth). When I use them, I will tip well.

Yes, and has been cutting my hair for 15 years. Didn't know him before my first appointment and now we're good friends. I've watched his children grow up. He's also a southern Louisiana guy so we have that common bound.
