I mean it’s never difficult to prove your posts wrong, but I’m actually walking, living, breathing proof this post is dumb as frick.
I’m a millennial. I’ve been a homeowner for almost a decade. I have practically 0 debt outside of my wife’s new vehicle. We both paid our way through college and have pis off any leftover student debt. We both have put money away for retirement for over a decade. And our son has life insurance and a 529b for his future education. Both of our parents were lower middle class.
Guess I just wasn’t a baby back bitch blaming my lack of accountability on previous generations?

You seem to struggle with it all the time though.
No one said it's impossible genius. The point is it is a lot harder than it used to be with many more roadblocks. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp. One can simultaneously work to better one's self while also realizing that there are lots of problems today created by people who bitch about the younger generations constantly.

What's your frame of reference on how "it used to be"?

Go back and read what I've posted if you really want to know.

I just ignore them and remember how good I had it pre-social media, cell phones and the internet.

I was reading an article the other about how hard it is to become a florist these days compared to how easy it was in 80's. I had to rule a few career switches I was thinking of making due to the insane amount of money and time I would have to put in just to get a LICENSE.
Not to mention when boomers graduated college, companies didn't really care what you majored in except for in highly specialized fields. All they looked for was a college degree, so you had plenty of people with humanities degrees landing good paying jobs. Those same humanities degrees they like to belittle millenials and gen z for pursuing. My uncle was hired by an insurance company to be an accountant when his degree was in sociology.

this we can agree upon. no generation has a right to bitch. your handed what you are handed in life and everything you earn you earn. life has never been fair to a single person who’s walked this earth.
eta: minus the greatest generation. They were certainly dealt several bad hands.

lol. do I? I might call you out for being a liberal Nancy, but I’m not here complaining about the blessed life I’ve earned.

I helped pay my way through college working as a pharmacy tech. I sent like $25 to the state board and got a card that said I could do the job.
It's a 2 year degree now. A 2 year degree to shuffle pills on a board and count them and ring people up. You have to go in debt, or work a worse job and put your future on hold, in order to get the job I literally walked out of high school into. It's absurd.

Apparently since the only evidence you've shown as an attempt to counter any of my points is your life story. Which is a sample size of one. So yes, you do.

JFC no one is complaining about anything, we are discussing the differences in the work force from 40 years ago to today. your virtue has been thoroughly signaled though

so has yours. I’ve got a cup for your tears and a taxed paycheck to cover your expenses.
sorry you’ve taken no accountability in your own life and earned nothing on your own. I can see why you might come off a little whiny on this Internet forum. Thanks for validating my point and please continue ruining this thread like many others with your constant whining

-less religious than the previous generation
Nailed it.

Boomer here. Yeah, I think a loot of Boomers are sick of them, and a lot of them are sick of us. Many of each tolerate the others, though.

Well, Boomer opinions won't matter for long. Your power is fading fast with your population.

You are so far removed from reality that it is sad. Cattle ranchers who have had family land for generations are being forced to either sell off land or diversity their income. It’s all commercialized now. You don’t really think markets buy from local ranchers do you?

True. Julius Caesar’s opinion doesn’t matter any more even though it once did.
