I am. Marriage is a sacrament in the Catholic Church. I may not be the world's best catholic, but that is a sacrament that I believe in.
If they want to go sign some piece of paper and have party and say they are legal partners, then go right ahead. But the sacrament of marriage is meant to be between a man and a women. End of story.

I support gay marriage. Gay couples should have the opportunity at the same legal rights that heterosexual couples have. And I don't understand why the opposition wastes time fighting this.
Is there anyone in this thread that actually believes gay marriage won't be legal everywhere pretty soon? Just look at the polling trends. Look at the support breakdown among different age groups. People are coming to their senses. It's inevitable.

I don't care about gay marriage. It has absolutely no effect on me.
There are too many important things to worry about than to pay attention to this crap.

100% not against it, whole a family is catholic. Have cousin that is a artist at OM an is gay as gay can get. As long as him an is boy toy don't flame around my son I'm good. First time they gay around my son I'm gone kill both of them. As long as they don't impose there gay on my kids I'm good.

I am against it purely because of fiscal considerations. I don't want to pay social security survivor benefits to any additional groups. Until our welfare and social security systems are corrected I don't want any additional parties reaping those benefits. Shore up aid to illegals and fully fund the system, which will never happen, and I would be receptive to the idea.

Marriage predates history and has included same sex couples long before the creation of Christianity.
Same-sex married couples before Christianity? Go on.

Weren't same sex marriage/unions/contracts not uncommon in Rome and Greece until the rise of Christianity?
Edit: Wiki has a lot of info on it, but most of the sources are books

While I personally think it's a silly joke, I don't think the government should be involved stopping people from participating in such jokes.

I'm against it. And not just because gay people are mentally ill and disgusting. The main reason is because the spread of disease.

As long as both girls are hot, I don't see a problem with it.

Any marriage that doesn't bring more cretins into the world has my approval. And thanks.

Legalize weed, allow gay marriage, and let's move on with our fricking lives. Way more important shite to focus on.
